Not a fan of chain food, and I dislike the atmosphere...however the steak and prime rib is good, they serve a good salad, and if you have a young child...its loud enough you don't have to worry about an outburst or two disrupting other diners. We have been here many times, its one of my kids favorites, I personally have always had friendly and efficient service, regardless of what other reviewers experiences were. The prime rib is predictably and consistently good...it has a salty smoky crust thats a nice change from the traditional salt/rosemary/thyme/cracked pepper crust. Its tender without being dry....I do think they could trim the tail a little better though. My daughter always gets a New York strip, its seasoned well and we have never had to send one back because it was under or over cooked. Salads are crisp and fresh, I usually get the caesar, but I have had the house salad plenty of times and have never received old or wilted ingredients. I don't personally care too much about the rolls, but my wife and kids love them. I don't care for the the atmosphere, and after 45 minutes of the latest in hillbillified rock I'm ready to hit the door. I also don't get the fascination with making employees line dance, and can't believe they actually do it. Texas Roadhouse has some drawbacks, but its a good option when you want prime rib or a steak and a beer.

I send a compliant about this experience to the main office and heard nothing. It is clear this chain of places does not care about the customers. We have been passing this on so others won't waste there time in a nasty place like this. BEWARE

Third time I have been ignored by Carmen because she was checking and texting messages! Why do employers allow their employees to use their cell phones while on the job! Very irritating!

This place is well known. This is the only Texas Road House close to South Bend. I come here somewhat 2 times every season. The place is clean and friendly. They quiet babies and young kids with toys. Real cool neon lights and other stuff. But I have a question. Why do they have TVs in the bar? Why can't they have them in every booth like Between The Buns? That's my question. And they gave my bro a sweeten tea . He ordered a unsweetened tea. All that it's a 4!

After flying into South Bend Airport I was starving... Decided to take my parents to this Texas Roadhouse. It was 7:30 pm on a Sunday night. It looked as if the dinner rush was over. I witnessed alot of servers still there but doing their sidework duties. Two Hostesses greeted us at the front door with big smiles. We requested a table near the bar and they were happy to put us there. The hostess who seated us offered for us to pick out a specific steak from their meat case. I did not catch her name but she was Asian. Very polite and professional. After we were seated, we were greeted by a waitress named Emily. She offered Ice cold beers and Legendary Margaritas. I ordered a 22oz Coors light and my parents got two waters. Drinks came quickly and the waitress was ready to take our order. She did a great job. She offered yummy add ons but was not pushy (mush, onions, melted jack cheese on our dinners). My step mom got a single pork chop and caesar salad, my father got Prime Rib, sweet potatoe, and a caesar salad, and I ordered the Steak kabob with rice and green beans. The salads came immediately in chilled bowls. My father says that Roadhouse has the best caesar salads around. Entrees came at the perfect time, right when salads were finished. Our food came out perfect. Correct meat temps, and piping hot. We had a great time. I did not recieve a manager visit, but I did witness manager presence as the female manager was pouring beers behind the bar. The waitress also described cooking temps. Great job! Food and service was perfect. The mens bathroom was clean and stocked. Good job all around at this location. I would have given 5 stars but did not witness their legendary line dancing.

Such a negative vive. Seemed dirty, bartender really bad attitude. Not helpful. Stinky attitude. Won't be back.

Considering it is a chain of restaurants, Texas Roadhouse serves above average steak and prime cuts of beef for a reasonable price. A regular stop for us in South Bend Indiana.

This place was jammed and the hostesses and bartenders made us comfortable while we waited. They had good beer specials and peanuts. Once seated, our waiter was very friendly but trying to sell us gift certificates right out of the gate. The food was mediocre at best and had chain restaurant cuisine (I know, it is a chain) so it was edible but not a place to seek out. I can't believe there are so many locations across the country, America deserves better meals out.

Manager didn't much care that in our party of 12, one steak came at the end of everyone's meal. Waitress didn't care that a stick was in with my steak. No offer of cooking a new one, just took it away. We will not return. They can not accommodate large parties, sad because we came to have lunch with the family and we were split up between servers, an aisle and tables/booths.

I sat in a booth for almost 10 minutes wiaiting to be noticed by a server. When got my steak it had a 10 inch long hair curled-up in the grease!!! At first the manager said it was not a hair! - then he agreed it was a hair!!! He brought me another undercooked, bloody rare steak and then argued with me that I ordered it cooked that way! I left without eating. I complained to their corporate customer service phone number and they basically said their manager would not behave that way and they could not help me.

Rolls and salad were great and consistent - my chili though had several pieces of fat and grizzle in it that I had to remove.

Last night was our first time going there, it was very crowded and the server seemed like she was overwhelmed, having taken quite a while to come back to our table for our orders. We were promised prime rib, and she came back again a bit later saying they were out of not just the prime rib, but mushrooms as well. The manager gave us a free appetizer as an apology, which would have been fine, but then when the food finally did get to us, it was under cooked. My steak and my boyfriend's onions. I don't know how on earth you under cook onions, but they managed it. So needless to say, we won't be going back there.

Yes, the service here is wonderful. Very attentive, and we've never had an order mix-up. The menu here is pretty plain. Lots of "steak" options, but that's about it. Nothing you can't make at home. The Caesar salad I had was swimming in dressing, and the burgers are pretty salty. The best part of the meal is the cinnamon butter they give you for the bread! Prices are higher than at Logan's down the road, and they offer more variety there, too. There's nothing bad about Texas Roadhouse, just not much that's good, either.

Bartender was inattentive and couldn't keep track of orders. Gave us rolls with butter and no silverware. Had to ask for a knife 3 times as the warm rolls got cold. I ordered a Ribeye medium. Came out burned. Another in our party ordered medallions med rare, came out well done. Possibly just a bad night but I'm in no rush to go back anytime soon.

I had to update my review. Tonight was our second time coming here. The service was absolutely wonderful, their margaritas are FABULOUS, the grilled pork chops are great, I love this place. And I am rather surprised the reviews are mediocre. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

It's a "roadhouse" chain, so the usual fare of steaks, poultry, and seafood is on the menu. The steaks are especially delectable. The house salads are huge and delicious. Service is superb! Servers are well-trained, pleasant and efficient. We eat there about twice per month and have never been disappointed. The servers also display their singing/dancing skills every hour or so. It adds to the experience. The music tends to be country/western, and everyone seems to be having a good time. texasroadhouse.com/conte…
